For the first time since 1990, two schools just four miles apart met on the gridiron. SVL-newcomers John Glenn did what many thought they couldn’t, defeating Bay City Central 28-24 at Engel Stadium.
Through some pouring rain at times the Davison Cardinals dispatched Lapeer 35-17 on their home turf. Tariq Reid had a 98-yard TD run, but it was QB Cannon Hall and the linebackers who stole the show.

Playing in their season within the SVL, the John Glenn Bobcats are still perfect at home after a 17-7 win over the Heritage Hawks. Sophomore QB Jobe Long finished with 200+ passing yards and 100+ rushing yards.
Midland handed Davison their first regular season loss since 2015 and, in doing so, stayed perfect in the SVL Red. Chemics QB Cade Methner finished with 5 total touchdowns and over 350 total yards.
